| The big focus when it comes to lead testing recently has centered around lead in water. Millions of home in the United States have tested positive for lead in their drinking water, the source of which changes depending upon location. But what about lead coming from soil? Lead occurs naturally and if a residence draws its water from a well drilled through lead contaminated soil a chance exists that the water will also contain lead. Therefore homeowners with wells ought to consider testing not only their well water for lead, but also their soil. Other people who may want to consider testing their soil for lead include residents of homes near metalworking facilities, metal plating facilities, major manufacturing companies and/or landfills. |
